}}
The Changyŏn Line is a non-electrified standard-gauge secondary line of the North Korean State Railway running from Sugyo on the Ŭllyul Line to Changyŏn.〔Kokubu, Hayato (2007), 将軍様の鉄道 (Shōgun-sama no Tetsudō), Shinchosha, Tokyo, ISBN 978-4-10-303731-6〕
== History ==
Originally the line was one of the several railways of the Hwanghae Line and the owner was Chosun Railway co. Ltd. The present line was opened on 21 January 1937 as the part of the Sariwon–Changyŏn railway.〔朝鮮總督府官報 (The Public Journal of the Governor-General of Korea), Showa Nr. 3009, 28 January 1937〕 The line was nationalized on 1 April 1944 like the other lines of Hwanghae Line and labeled as the present name.〔朝鮮總督府官報 (The Public Journal of the Governor-General of Korea), Showa Nr. 5143, 29 March 1944〕
After the establishment of the government of North Korea the Changyŏn Line was separated from the Sariwon–Sugyo railway. Like the Ŭllyul Line the line was also reconstructed with the standard rail gauge.
